Event Description

ℹ️ About the Workshop

When movement becomes restricted, how much of life do we unconsciously begin to limit?

Theme: How can neck restriction influence the way we move, work and participate in life?

Headline: The neck is involved in almost everything we do — yet we often notice it only when it hurts.

The neck helps us look, orient, balance, breathe, work and interact with the world.

Screen use, stress, repetitive movement and habitual postures can gradually make it feel stiff, tired or restricted.

This workshop explores the neck in relationship with the shoulders, spine, breath and eyes, rather than treating it as an isolated body part.

What we’ll explore

·        Basic anatomy and function of the neck

·        The relationship between neck and upper spine

·        Neck–shoulder relationship

·        Movement versus tension

·        Why repeatedly stretching a painful area isn’t always the answer

·        Gentle self-assessment of neck movement

·        Cervical and shoulder mobility

·        Scapular and thoracic movement

·        Breath, eye and head coordination

·        Integrating the neck with the rest of the body

·        Everyday habits that influence neck movement

🎯 What to expect in the time allocated :

An interactive 90-minute session combining gentle self-assessment, guided mobility, whole-body movement and practical everyday applications.

You will leave with

·        Greater awareness of your neck and upper-body movement habits

·        A practical mobility sequence

·        A better understanding of the neck–shoulder–spine relationship

·        Simple ways to incorporate movement into your everyday routine

·        Tools to approach neck stiffness with greater awareness

Best suited for

Desk workers, frequent screen users, yoga practitioners and anyone experiencing general neck or upper-body stiffness or tension.
